October Challenge Entry

I have another entry for the October leg of the challenge...the very lovely Lois has posted her entry.
and what a cute little Christmas bear all dressed up and ready for Christmas...

Have you noticed how the Christmas stuff is creeping into the stores...I drove past some of our local landmarks last week and saw that the council had the big rigs out putting on the massive Christmas decorations to the giant trees we have around the city. they do look pretty when they are all lit up.
I love Christmas...not for the silly thing that it tends to become because of commercialism...but because it reminds us of the true reason for the season, the birth of our saviour.
I love to celebrate and that is what it is all about the celebration of the birth of Christ...after all we can't Christmas without Christ...
come on ladies get those entries in...not long now.
big hugs

Not long to go now ladies so get those entries in...
I will be MIA over the next 2 days so if you send in your entry and I don't get it up on the blog by Sunday  please don't worry , it will get there.
I have been looking at the pictures over the last 5 months and am just inspired by all the different things you ladies have made over the monthly challenges...we certainly have some talent out there.
You all should be congratulated for being so good at what you do. I truly do appreciate the beauty of your work.
we are about 5 weeks away from our summer break and I am pushing to get all the stuff done that I need to so that I can spend MY Summer sewing and crafting.

I also have my DD's 21st birthday (8th Jan) to organize, that is going to be big and fun. she is such a wonderful woman and I am so privileged to be her Mum.
So I will sign off for now, till Sunday anyway...get crafting and sewing Ladies there is not much time left.

Mid October...

Hi Ladies, how are you all doing with your challenge for October? I have been a bit distracted this month with tooth ache and such so have been going slowly on my item for October.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with, I am sure we will have some really fantastic stuff.

If you are stuck for ideas maybe do a Christmas blog hop to check out what people are making and get some ideas from that. I just googled Christmas sewing blogs and came up with a few.

I am almost finished mine I just have some adjustments to make and it will be ready for posting.

This challenge has been so much fun and I would like to do it again next year, maybe with a few changes but essentially the same.

It has been a fantastic experience for me and a good challenge to get me into making stuff.

I must sign off now, so be happy and have fun Stitching.
